Our Story – A family business since 1952
Trevor Park completed a plumbing apprenticeship and was only in his early 20s when he established Park & Clarke in 1952.
From that early start, the business has grown from strength to strength and is now a leading home improvement company specialising in kitchen and bathroom installations and renovations, and with its own plumbing, drainage and building maintenance service division.
Tim Park spent most of his school holidays as a teenager working at Park & Clarke, and after completing a commerce degree in Dunedin, he joined the family business in 1985.
At his father’s insistence, Tim started at the bottom of the ladder on an apprenticeship and earned his place in the company - first as a craftsman plumber and now as the managing director. Tim is also a past National President of the New Zealand Society of Master Plumbers.

Park & Clarke today – leaders in personal service and skilled workmanship
Tim Park and his key team of skilled craftsman builders and plumbers are committed to continuing Park & Clarke’s reputation for top quality customer service and skilled workmanship. Tim says, “Because we install what we design, we ensure the finished result is not only innovative and looks great, but is functional and durable too.” Unique to Park & Clarke are: - their capacity to match kitchens and bathrooms to the architectural or
special features of your home - their uncompromising belief in the use of quality products that last
- like copper piping.

“We are quite a traditional company and still use copper water pipes exclusively. We don't use plastic as it isn’t durable and doesn’t perform as well as copper. While we will repair plastic piping under our maintenance services, we do not use it for our own installations.” - Tim Park
